Milano agenda for Designing La Dolce Vita.
Private meet-ups, curated brand experiences and a grand finale — a day-by-day guide for those who want to experience Design Week differently.
Event Journal
Every year, around this time, I get the same feeling — a mix of excitement, adrenaline and that kind of curiosity that makes you want to see everything, understand everything, and somehow be everywhere at once, because Milano Design Week has a way of pulling you in completely and making you feel like the entire design world is happening right in front of you, in real time.
For me, Milano has always been more than a destination — it feels like a mindset, like a place where ideas grow faster, where conversations become opportunities, and where every street you walk on can turn into a source of inspiration without even planning it, because during this week the city transforms into a living gallery, with hidden courtyards, unexpected installations and spaces that you discover by chance and remember for years.
After three years of creating content, working closely with some of the most respected design brands and learning how to translate their stories into something people can truly connect with, I started to feel that simply capturing what happens here is exciting — but creating something inside this ecosystem feels even more meaningful.
So this year, together with my team, we decided to take things further and design a series of private meet-ups for architects and interior designers from our community — moments where we can actually sit together, exchange ideas, talk about what we discover in real time, build connections that go beyond a quick hello and create that kind of energy that you rarely find in large events, because at the end of the day design has always been about people and the way they connect through what they create.
This is how this agenda was born — out of a desire to bring people closer, to give context to everything that happens during this week and to offer you access to a curated series of events that we truly believe are worth your time, your attention and your curiosity. So if you are in Milano during this period, consider this your invitation to be part of something that goes beyond the official schedule and into the real experience of Design Week.

All about Baxter
Largo Augusto 1, Milano
Tuesday has that kind of energy where I already know the day will be full before it even starts, and this year it feels even more special because it revolves around Baxter Made in Italy — a brand that I always associate with bold choices, incredible materials and that unmistakable confidence that you instantly recognize the moment you step into their world.
This day is also very personal for me because together with Baxter I am hosting a private meet-up for Romanian architects and interior designers, and I love the idea of bringing our community into this context where everything feels elevated, curated and full of meaning.
11:30 — Private Tour
Baxter Cinema
We start the experience at Baxter Cinema, which already sets the tone from the first second — a space that feels cinematic, layered and incredibly well thought, where you get to see the collections up close, understand the materials, touch the textures and connect all the details into a bigger picture that makes perfect sense once you are there.
13:00 — Design Journey
Baxter Tram
From here, the experience flows naturally into one of my favorite moments of the entire week — the Baxter tram — and I am smiling even while writing this because it is one of those ideas that simply makes Milano Design Week feel alive, where design moves through the city together with you and turns a simple ride into something memorable.
And then comes the part that makes everything even more exciting, because we will be joined by Paolo Bestetti, the CEO of the company — and I already imagine the kind of conversations that will happen, open, direct, insightful, the kind of moments where you get to understand how a brand like this thinks, grows and makes decisions at the highest level.
I kept the group intentionally limited — 25 seats — because I care a lot about the quality of the experience and the energy of the people in the room, and I want this to feel personal, easy and genuinely valuable for everyone involved. If you feel this is your kind of experience, send me your details in private — name, surname, company, city and email — and you will receive your QR access code via this invitation form.

Wednesday · 22 April
Salone del Mobile
Fiera Milano, Rho
Wednesday starts early, with that focused kind of energy where you know the day will be intense, full of information, full of inspiration, and honestly one of those days where you want to pay attention to everything because Salone del Mobile always delivers at a completely different level. This is the day where we zoom into two of my favorite topics — the bathroom and the terrace — two spaces that in the last years started to evolve beautifully and feel more and more like extensions of how we actually live.
We begin with Mariner Rubinetterie, and I am really excited about this one because the conversation goes beyond products and into something much more interesting. For a long time, the bathroom has been treated as a highly functional space — very well designed, very efficient, beautiful in many cases — and still missing that conceptual layer that brings everything together into a clear story, where each element feels connected and intentional.
Mariner approaches things differently, and I love this shift in perspective — because instead of focusing on individual objects like faucets or showers, the focus moves towards the experience itself, towards the gesture of water, towards how everything interacts, how it feels, how it becomes part of a daily ritual that deserves attention and design thinking.
At 15:00, the event becomes even more interesting because we will have both Tonino Lamborghini and Fabio Novembre present — which already tells you the level of the conversation, the kind of ideas that will be shared and the energy of the entire moment.
And then, as every good Design Week day should go, the story continues.
This is one of those moments that feels both professional and personal for me. Hogarti is one of the partners I truly appreciate because the collaboration goes beyond visibility and into real value — into understanding outdoor living at a deeper level, into learning how to design terraces that feel complete, coherent and ready to be lived in, not just styled for a photo.
Working with them constantly shaped the way I approach outdoor spaces, from proportions to materials to how you create zones that actually function beautifully — and being here together at Salone feels like a natural continuation of that journey.
Inside the Talenti space, we will explore the newest directions in terrace design, collections that reflect a more relaxed lifestyle, fluid transitions between indoor and outdoor, materials that are both durable and refined, and a clear focus on comfort — because outdoor spaces today carry the same importance as interiors and the expectations are just as high.
Wednesday becomes that kind of day where you leave with ideas, with references, with a different way of looking at spaces that once felt secondary and now become essential. And I already know this is one of those days I will think about long after Design Week ends.
Thursday · 23 April
Flooring — The first layer of Designing La Dolce Vita
Via Ugo Bassi 7, Milano · 18:00
Thursday is for details, and for me that always means one thing — the floor, the base, the layer that holds everything together even when nobody talks about it enough. This day is all about Garbelotto, and I have to say it like I felt it — this is the place where I finally understood what quality flooring really means, not in theory, in real life, in real projects.
What I love about Garbelotto is the clarity: you know where the wood comes from, you understand how it is made, you feel how it will behave in time, and as a designer that gives you confidence. Then comes the technical side, which I enjoy more than I expected — systems like Clip Up make everything feel smarter, cleaner, more flexible, exactly how design moves today. And still, the wood keeps that warmth, that natural vibe that makes a space feel alive and elegant at the same time, which is exactly the balance I am always looking for.
In the evening we meet Renza Altoè, partner and part of the founding family, representing the third generation that continues to grow the business — and this is the part I am really excited about, because you get to hear everything directly from her: the story, the process, the mindset behind the brand, all coming from someone who lives it every day.
Friday is that day that feels a little bit emotional for me — the kind of day that connects past and present in a very personal way, because we step into Piuarch, right in the heart of Milano, and I already know this is going to be one of those moments I will remember for a long time.
Back in university, this was exactly the type of office I was dreaming about — international projects, strong concepts, that energy of a place where architecture actually happens at a high level — and now we get to see it together from a completely different perspective, which honestly feels surreal in the best way.
We will be guided by Gino Garbellini, who will take us through the studio, share insights from real projects and open a window into what this profession really looks like behind the scenes — the kind of conversations that you usually only hear if you are inside.
This is a very personal event for me, very intimate — only 5 people — and I wanted to keep it like this because the experience becomes completely different when the group is right and the conversations flow naturally. I am turning this into a little game during the week: I will place the invitations around the city, and if you follow me on Instagram you will know exactly where to find them. Consider this a small challenge for my passionate architects and designers.
5 seats — invitation only
And then, in the evening, we close Milano Design Week in a way that feels exactly right.
We meet at Viabizzuno, in their showroom — a space that feels like a hidden house in the middle of the city, reserved only for us, warm, intimate and full of atmosphere.
Viabizzuno has always been about light in its purest form, and behind this vision stands Mario Nanni, the founder, who built a philosophy around light as a tool that shapes space, emotion and perception in a very precise and poetic way.
This is the kind of ending that makes everything settle — conversations, ideas, inspiration, all coming together in one space, with the right people, at the right moment. And honestly, I cannot imagine a better way to close this week.

Saturday · 25 April — Grand Finale
The Brunch Affair
Via Gargano 15, Milano · 23:30
Saturday feels like that last scene in a movie you don't want to end — the energy is still there, the conversations are still flowing, and somehow everyone is a little more open, a little more relaxed, a little more ready to celebrate everything that just happened during the week.
So we close everything with something completely different, something unexpected for Milano Design Week — and exactly the kind of twist I love. We end with The Brunch Affair, a concept that I've known from Bucharest and always associated with good energy, great music and that perfect mix between people who come to enjoy, connect and dance without overthinking anything.
The whole idea is simple and fun at the same time — brunch that slowly turns into a party, deep house music that builds the mood, people who start with a coffee and end up on the dance floor, conversations that turn into friendships, and that feeling that you are exactly where you should be.
I love it because it brings a different kind of connection — less formal, more real, more alive — the kind of space where architects, designers, creatives and friends mix naturally and the vibe does the rest. After a full week of design, materials, meetings, ideas and inspiration, this feels like the perfect way to close everything, with music, with energy and with people who share the same passion. And I already know this is where some of the best memories will be created.
