Pre-coverage

What Milano Design Week really feels like when design is your world.

A personal note on the team, the mindset, and what changes this year.

Pre-coverage

Preparing for Milano Design Week feels, honestly, like Christmas for a child — especially when interior design is not just something you like, but something that defines how you see the world.

It's that time of the year when you go to discover everything that is new in the industry — but also everything that is evolving — in a city where people passionate about design come together from all over the world. Somehow, at the same time, Milano turns into one big gallery, where every street, every courtyard and every hidden space becomes part of a story.

There is something very special about the energy of this place during Design Week. You walk through Brera, you enter a small courtyard that you would normally pass by, and suddenly you find an installation that completely changes the way you see materials or light. You move to Tortona and everything feels more experimental, more bold. And in between all of this, there are conversations, meetings, unexpected encounters that end up being just as valuable as the design itself.

The inspiration you receive there is not instant, it's not loud, but it stays with you and slowly shifts your perspective on what beauty actually means and what kind of spaces you want to create. And then there is the networking — which is not about collecting contacts, but about finding people who think in the same way, who value the same things, and who, at the right moment, can become part of your journey.

This year, Milano Design Week reaches another edition, and every time it feels like a point where the entire industry aligns for a few days around the same values, the same curiosity and the same desire to push design forward.

The team I'm going with

This year I will be there with a lot of excitement — but also with my team, the people I've been creating content with for the past three years, and with whom I've grown a lot, both professionally and personally.

Katty, creative director

Katty — Creative Director

Katty, my creative director, is one of those rare people who always seem to be one step ahead. She's constantly full of ideas — the kind that come naturally, spontaneously, without forcing them — and somehow she just knows what's going to feel relevant before it even becomes a trend. In Milano, she's the one who keeps everything structured behind the scenes, from organising our daily agenda to shaping the scripts for both YouTube and Instagram, making sure every piece of content has clarity and direction. But beyond all of that, she brings a kind of energy that you can't really plan or replace: always positive, always present, and always pushing things forward in the most natural way.

Oana Marian, videographer

Oana Marian — Videographer

Oana brings a very distinctive layer to everything we create. She has a strong background in building short films, and you can feel that in the way she approaches every frame — nothing is random, everything has intention. She pays incredible attention to interior details, to light, to composition, and manages to capture spaces in a way that feels both cinematic and real at the same time. Her eye for photography is just as special: every image she takes feels carefully observed, never generic, always with a sense of atmosphere that is hard to replicate.

Together, we don't just go there to film. We go there to understand, to translate and to build something meaningful from everything we experience.

The team — together in Milano

What changes this year

I feel like I grew together with this event in a way. Every year I came back a little different — with a clearer eye, with more confidence, with better questions. And this year, we are taking things further.

We are not only creating content. We are also creating moments. We will organise a series of small meetups for Romanian architects and designers who will be in Milano — spaces where we can come together, share what we discover, talk openly about what we like and what we don't, and start to process all the valuable information that we will later bring back into our own projects and to our clients.

Because Milano Design Week can be overwhelming if you go through it alone — but when you share it, it becomes something much more clear and much more valuable.

A visual identity that goes beyond spaces

This whole experience is also supported by designers who understand that design is not only about interiors, but also about presence, attitude and how you show up in a context like this.

  • Mauve by Cristina Telptean
  • Andra Handaric
  • Lavine Couture
  • Tudor Personal Tailor

They are part of this story, helping us express design in a more complete way — not just through the spaces we visit, but also through the way we move inside them.

If you're in Milano, come closer

If you're going to Milano Design Week this year, you're not the only one trying to make sense of everything that is happening there. We'll start sharing the details about the meetups and how you can join us.

And if you feel like you want more than just to see — if you want to understand, to connect and to be part of something — then maybe this is exactly the place for you.

Stay close. We're just getting started.
